Ultra High Quality Laminations, Lower Inductance and Superior Sound!

These specially designed transformers are wired to connect a moving coil cartridge (on a turntable) to a phono preamplifier, phono input of a receiver, or your preamp's phono input. They were designed and tested with several low-output moving coil cartridges. These are very difficult transformers to construct and require a precision manufacturing process that can only be done by David Geren at CineMag.

Includes premium construction with C&K Brand Silver contact toggle switches, and Deluxe Gold Plated RCA jacks.

Switchable for 1:20 (26 dB gain) or 1:40 (32 dB gain). Into a standard 47k phono preamp, the effective input impedance of the low gain (1:20 ratio) is 118 ohms. At 1:40, the effective input impedance is 29 ohms. The 1:40 ratio is perfect for those extremely low output cartridges.

"In just a short listen - one album side or less - the 1131 Blue announces its superiority with smoother upper frequencies...The 1131 Blue has tighter bass (or less bloom, depending on your perception) that makes it easier for the listener to hear bass strings and drum heads vibrating. Also apparent is an increase in the performers' subtle technique in the lower frequencies. What is not so subtle is the way the CineMag 1131 Blue presents a clear picture of the artists performing in a real acoustic spaceÂ…The sense that each performer is a solid 3-D image, and not just a flat source of sound, contributes greatly to the enjoyment of every piece of musicÂ…The Bob's Devices CineMag 1131 Blue moving coil step up transformer is a superior component that would fit in a system of any price. Music is always very enjoyable with this device in the system." -10 Audio

"The soundstage blew open and focused the instruments in space with so much air around them that it felt like if I got too close to the tenor sax, I just might get sprayed with some famous spittle! Bass reproduction also took a quantum leap-getting richer, tighter and more musical. The mid-range glare not only disappeared, but left in its place an easy, natural sparkle that made my system without the SUT seem veiled and dull in comparisonÂ…I spent the next half hour doing more A/B and trying to squash the impulse to wake up my wife and drag her into the listening room so I could have someone, anyone, share this experience with meÂ…I am happy to report that It's getting even better as it ages in my system...Bob's tiny 1131 SUT is a definite giant killer." -Alon Sagee, Positive Feedback

"One of the things I noticed, pretty much right away, was that the presentation was simply fuller...All told, I think this is a really neat investment...I can and will say that IÂ’m a fan and that I really like what it does with my MC cartridge." -Scott Hull, Part-Time Audiophile
