First Time on Vinyl in Over 50 Years!
Pressed on Red Vinyl!
All analog holiday cheer!
Not content to redo the same old festive standbys, Buck's first holiday album features a new batch of Christmas classics. Reissued on LP for the first time since its 1965 release, this all-analog edition is stuffed with Yuletide boot stompers, ballads and more! Pressed on colored vinyl!
With Buck Owens riding a tide of hit singles and top-selling albums, the time was right in 1965 to record his first Christmas album. Not content to re-do the same old holiday standbys, Buck and the band worked up a new batch of Christmas classics. Even the lone traditional song, "Jingle Bells," received a brand-spanking-new arrangement courtesy of Buckaroo Don Rich. "Santa Looked a Lot Like Daddy," penned by Buck and Don, quickly became a perennial song of the season, thanks to it humorous lyrics and infectious melody. That song's rollicking sentiment is balanced by selections like the yearning "All I Want for Christmas Is You," another Owens/Rich collaboration. From boot stompers to ballads, this album has it all. Take a tip from the album's bright green cover and make sure you've got Christmas with Buck Owens and his Buckaroos in your stocking in time for the holidays!
