The album featured saxophonist Charlie Parker and trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie. The 8-track Charlie Parker was released in 1954. Charlie Parker with Strings, released in 1995, is a compilation places Parker in the context of a small classical string section and a jazz rhythm section and was recorded in 1949 and 1950.
