1983 Grammy Winning Album Reissued on 150g Vinyl!

Winner of the 1983 GRAMMY® Award for Best Traditional Blues Album, Alright Again! put the famed multi-instrumentalist roots musician back on the radar. Brown performs both original tracks, and covers songs by such blues heroes as T-Bone Walker and Percy Mayfield, as well as a song by his protégé, Albert Collins. Proclaimed by Allmusic.com to be: “One of the most satisfying…discs of all for the discerning blues fan,” this LP is a must have for roots fans.

Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown was an American musician from Louisiana and Texas. He is best known for his work as a blues musician, but embraced other styles of music, having "spent his career fighting purism by synthesizing old blues, country, jazz, Cajun music and R&B styles." His work also encompasses rock and roll, rock music, folk, electric blues, and Texas blues.

He was an acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, who played an array of musical instruments such as guitar, fiddle, mandolin, viola as well as harmonica and drums. Brown is regarded as one of the most influential exponents of blues fiddle and has had enormous influence in American fiddle circles. His two biggest musical influences were Louis Jordan and T-Bone Walker.
