Originally released January 1969, the first Greatest Hits compilation from Donovan peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200. The album contains an unedited version of "Sunshine Superman" which is much longer than the original single released in 1966. Since Epic could not obtain the right to release the original recordings of "Catch the Wind" and "Colours", Donovan recorded new versions in May 1968 with a full backing band for the compilation album.
