Duke Jordan has been a jazz great for nearly twenty years growing in stature with each year added. In his early days he was closely associated with the immoortal Charlie "Bird" Parker as a part of "Bird's" greatest, most creative group. Many of "Bird's" first recordings included Duke as pianist. Through the years as Duke stepped out as a leader and soloist his own albums revealed his true artistry and genius as a pianist and composer.
With this particular album it is felt that Duke wil take his rightful place among the truly creative genisus and this milestone will be the beginning of a new face or as is often said a new "bag".
