12" Vinyl EP!
Released in 2011, the 5th EP Ed Sheeran recorded, No. 5 Collaborations, was the last EP in an attempt to be noticed and signed by a record label. The EP features guest artists such as Devlin, Wiley, P Money, Ghetts, JME, Mikill Pane and more.
"With every passing year, the music world becomes filled with new, cutting edge genres, ridiculous fashion trends and attention seeking future superstars. Representing the last of the purer, more organic musicians is Ed Sheeran, a mild mannered, carrot topped singer whose compositions resemble classic folk. But the power in his delivery (both voice and his guitar) has won him many fans including those from the Grime scene.
"Completing the last of his series of EPs, No. 5 Collaborations Project has the Norfolk singer/songwriter collaborate with a number of 140 Grime Streets residents, which aims to bridge the gap between the two contrasting worlds.
"Rather than being submerged in murky drones and the heavy bass of Grime, Sheerans EP is composed of haunting, sensitive production which meshes the protagonists acoustic compositions with sombre, intense beats. Ed Sheeran is excellent as a storyteller, even when in the midst of some immense lyrical talent." - Henry yanney, soulculture.com, January 15, 2011
Ed Sheeran - an 11-time GRAMMY nominee and multi-GRAMMY winner - has quickly established himself as one of the world's biggest musical artists with over 22 million albums sold and 4.7 billionSpotify streams. Both of his studio albums are now platinum, along with multiple platinum singles under his belt. The British singer-songwriter's second full length album x' (pronounced multiply) - released in 2014 - proved to be both a critical and commercial phenomenon. After debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 upon its release, the album has since been certified 4x-Platinum in the US and earned two GRAMMY nominations, including the prestigious Album Of The Year. Additionally, "x" spawned four consecutive multi-platinum singles in "Sing," "Don't," "Photograph," and his global smash and biggest single to date "Thinking Out Loud," which marked his first #1 at Top 40 radio and won a pair of GRAMMY awards, including highly coveted "Song Of The Year."
