Having played in numerous legendary bands including Thin Lizzy and Skid Row, alongside his own solo career, Moore is regarded as one of the most influential Irish musicians of all time. Having been honoured by both Gibson and Fender with signature guitars, the Northern Irish star is still regarded as one of the best guitar players of all time.

A Different Beat is Moore's 12th solo studio album, released in 1999. It saw Moore going in a different direction by adding dance beats to his signature blues guitar playing. This 2LP set includes new liner notes and is presented on translucent orange vinyl for the first time.
