1968 Recording Reissued On 180g Vinyl LP!
Mastered From The Original Sources!
Géza Anda, one of the great pianists of his time, was notably praised for his Mozart interpretations. One recording especially that he made for Deutsche Grammophon became immensely famous: The 2nd movement (Andante) of Piano Concerto No. 21 in C Major (K467) was featured in the 1967 Swedish film Elvira Madigan and, as a result, the work became widely known as the "Elvira Madigan Concerto". The complete recording of the Concerto, combined with Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 17 in G Major (K453), was released with artwork featuring actress Pia Degermark in a film still of Elvira Madigan.
Marking Géza Anda's centenary in November 2021, this recording is now re-issued on vinyl, mastered from the original sources and presented in 180g pressings with artwork based on the original release.
