Rising Young Violin virtuoso Francesca Dardani appointed 'Grado Ambassador' at the London 2012 Festival because of her love of the Grado RS2i Reference Headphones!
The End Of Teenage Disillusionment.
Leave your candy-colored cans in the toy chest and try a pair of proper headphones. Grado RS2e are hand-crafted from select Mahogany tone-woods, like a fine musical instrument. Grado's exclusive Series E curing process enhances the natural properties of the wood to produce rich, full-bodied vocals in a light-weight form factor. Put on Brian EnoÂ’s 'Another Green World', close you eyes and dream as if youÂ’ll live forever.
"...We not only felt every tremor and shudder of the gigantic plane, we heard even the most subtle details, such as the ice cubes rattling the passengers' plastic beverage cups. The combination of an engrossing film and an impressive set of headphones made it feel as though the RS-2s disappeared and the sound seemed to be coming from far outside the actual confines of the headphones." -Steve Guttenburg, CNET
The RS2e is the little brother of the RS1e but is just as aesthetically pleasing, now utilizing Grado's proprietary curing process that gives a new, lighter look. The RS2e has a 44mm driver and uses The e Series 8 conductor cable design. The hand-crafted mahogany utilizes new advanced damping treatments that help control and dissipate resonances. The RS2e still maintains an overall sound that is pure Grado, with warm harmonic colors, rich full bodied vocals, excellent dynamics, and an ultra-smooth top end. These truly are an audiophiles dream.
Grado is delighted to announce that international rising star young violinist, Francesca Dardani, has agreed to act as the ‘Grado Ambassador’ to the London 2012 Festival. She will be performing in the Aldeburgh World Orchestra which comprises young musicians from 30 countries and has been brought together for the Olympic Games. The orchestra will perform a series of concerts as part of the London 2012 Festival, including a Proms performance at the Royal Albert Hall.
Francesca stated “Because music is everything to me, I needed headphones that enable me to enjoy every nuance and emotion in a performance. My Grado RS2 does the job amazingly well and their cool wooden finish reminds me of my violin. They’re almost another musical instrument”

"With these Grado phones, you are in the realm of sound that is rarely created at any price...If you audition the Grado RS2s, you may find something you never heard before: the calm artistry of well-made sound." -Jim Merod, Jazz Now
"Just as oak barrels enhance the flavor of wine, these mahogany drums refine the sound of music. The earpieces on Grado's RS2 headphones are handcrafted from specially cured wood and have a large open-air chamber. The result is a complex bouquet of decreased distortion, accentuated bass response, warm harmonic tones and a supersmooth top end. Sweet!" -Seth Feman, Wired Magazine
