Limited Edition 180g Vinyl LP! Mastered at Capitol Records by Steve Massie From Original Tape Source!
Grammy-Winning Nilsson's Last Album Never Before Released In North America! Favorite Artist Of the Beatles!
Harry Nilsson's last album, unavailable for over 30 years! Finally released for the first time ever in North America!
Paul McCartney and John Lennon described Harry Nilsson as the Beatles' "favorite group", he won Grammy awards, wrote and recorded hit songs, and yet no figure in popular music is as much of a paradox, or as underrated, as Harry Nilsson.
Flash Harry was the 16th and final album released by Harry Nilsson. Originally issued on vinyl in the U.K. and Japan - this legendary album has never been released in the U.S. (and has not been available on CD). The album features Nilsson's own recordings of "Old Dirt Road", co-written and performed with John Lennon on Lennon's album Walls and Bridges (1974), Lennon's last album of original songs before his six year hiatus. Other song collaborators include Lowell George, Van Dyke Parks and Ringo Starr. The title track "Harry" is performed by Eric Idle and Charlie Dore.
The album was produced by famed guitarist Steve Cropper (best known as the guitarist of the Stax Records house band, Booker T. & The M.G.'s).
Also available from Harry Nilsson on vinyl: A Touch of Schmilsson In the Night (AFLP083) and Nilsson Sings Newman (EUROS4289).
