Guay and company open with a deconstructed take on School, famously by Supertramp. It's safe to say the dissent of the original begets renewed fervour in this recording. They later tackle Hide in Your Shell with similar results. The instrumentation includes Guay's saxophones and variously cello, piano, percussion and electronic media. All said, it sounds pretty modern. Other titles include Cinq etudes pour saxophone by Robert Lemay, where new solo parameters of the saxophone are revealed, Le frene egare by Francois Rosse, and Laurie Radford's Que la terre s'ouvre. It won't be heard in shopping malls, though it would be interesting to see what would happen if it were. - Dean Cottrill, ottawaexpress.ca, November 2003
