50th Anniversary Reissue On Vinyl LP!
2021 marks the 50th anniversary of Poems, Prayers & Promises, arguably the album that put John Denver on the map. Featuring Denver's first worldwide hit and signature song, "Take Me Home, Country Roads", the album includes the enduring classics "Sunshine On My Shoulders", "I Guess He'd Rather Be In Colorado" and the title track "Poems, Prayers And Promises". This 1971 Platinum-certified release features a total of six self-penned tracks along with covers such as The Beatles' "Let It Be" and James Taylor's "Fire And Rain".
...the opening title track set the scene for the whole album, pleasant acoustic songs sung by Denver backed in most cases by the picking and strumming of his acoustic guitar.
