Eighth Solo Album Re-Pressed on Vinyl LP!
Although John Frusciante is best known as a guitarist with the rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, he also has an active solo career, having released 11 albums under his own name. His solo recordings include elements ranging from experimental rock and ambient music to New Wave and Electronica.
This primarily acoustic 2005 album is in contrast to his previous collaboration with Josh Klinghoffer, A Sphere in the Heart of Silence. According to Frusciante, Curtains was recorded in his living room. The album features contributions from Autolux drummer Carla Azar, upright bassist Ken Wild, and The Mars Volta guitarist Omar Rodríguez-López.
Nearly always inventive, the 11 tunes here collect to form one magnificent piece of art.
