Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante released his third solo album, To Only Record Water for Ten Days, in 2001. Influenced by Depeche Mode, New Order and Classical Manoeuvres in the Dark, the album explores elements of electronica, synthpop and new wave. AllMusic's Melissa Giannini describes it as having "an overall almost goth-like singer/songwriter vibe, at times colliding into rock catharsis."
The 25th Anniversary double vinyl edition includes four bonus tracks and is pressed on blue and orange color vinyl for Record Store Day 2026. Limited Edition.
