John McEuen brings together friends met in music from his 50 years of road travels, people he has played with on stage and/or studio, but most of them did not know each other!" All have been instrumental in molding Americana Music in their own right. McEuen invited these talented musicians and vocalists to join him to celebrate traditional recording style - but in state-of-the-art hi-definition - and make lifetime memories with new musical moments. The hi-def studio project was recorded in a Brooklyn church.

In the same manner as the album "Will The Circle Be Unbroken," another landmark is created: MADE IN BROOKLYN.

The album is a time capsule of American Roots music that features guest performances from the likes of Steve Martin, David Bromberg, David Amram, John Carter Cash, and a dozen other well known stars of the genre. Featuring both original material from John, as well as unexpected covers such as Warren Zevon's "Excitable Boy", Made in Brooklyn is a “music-to-your-ears” audio feast.

"Best known as the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's traditionalist, John McEuen is joined by Steve Martin, David Bromberg, John Cowan, Matt Carsonis, Jay Ungar, John Carter Cash, David Amram, and others for Made in Brooklyn, on the audiophile label Chesky. The nine-song, 180-gram vinyl LP ranges from folk to gospel to country and bluegrass... Recorded in a Brooklyn church, the album sounds warm and real, putting you smack in the middle of it all. That's a damn fine place to be." - Larry Nager, The Absolute Sound, May/June 2017, 4.5 Music, 4.5/5 Sonics
