Remastered 180g Mono Vinyl LP!
First 1000 Available On Limited Edition "Blue Train" Vinyl!
The comprehensive remastering and repackaging upgrade of the Man In Black's legendary Sun Records catalogue continues with the release of Johnny Cash's penultimate album for the label. On November 15th 1962, due to the request of Cash's loyal fanbase, Sun collected all of Johnny's train and related songs, which he had an intuitional love for. To him, the hardship, joy, love, loneliness and adventure of "the big black wheel" were part of the USA's romantic heritage and nostalgic sentiments, which helped to prove his stake as one of the greatest singers of Country and Folk music. 'All Aboard The Blue Train' features the hugely successful "Folsom Prison Blues" and its excellent partner "So Doggone Lonesome", which showcased Johnny Cash's talents as a writer as well as a singer.
This Remastered Audiophile Edition has been cut from an original Sun Records analogue master tape by Matt Colton at Alchemy Studios, London, using a Studer A80 custom ultra-low noise replay machine and a modified Neumann VMS 80 lacquer mastering lathe. Pressed on 180-gram heavyweight vinyl and approved by Sun Record Company President John A. Singleton, this mono record is to be played at 33 1/3 R.P.M.
The Johnny Cash reissue series has been personally overseen by Singleton in Nashville and Charly Records founder Jean-Luc Young, continuing the long relationship between the companies begun by Shelby Singleton and Young almost 50 years ago.
"We applaud and congratulate Charly Records for ensuring Johnny Cash's legendary Sun catalogue continues to be available on the quality formats his music deserves, especially on newly remastered vinyl for the seven LPs that were originally released by Sun Records in the late fifties and early sixties." - John Singleton
