Featuring Special Guest Larry Coryell On SACD!
Julian Coryell began playing the guitar at the tender age of five, and quickly exhibited a natural talent for the instrument (and other instruments as well – piano, bass, and drums to name a few). Son of famed guitarist Larry Coryell, Julian's musical gifts were nourished and he began writing music at a young age. The Coryell household was never lacking in musical visitors, and Julian was exposed to everyone from Miles Davis to James Taylor, each adding to the mix of influences from which Julian is inspired. Julian entered Berklee college of Music at 16 years old and was the youngest graduate a few years later when he was 18 years old. Since then, he has toured and recorded with numerous platinum artists and has released his own solo records on Universal, Sony, and GRP. Since his early years in Berklee College, Julian has been recording his own music as well as other artists – back then at a self-built 8 track studio in Boston's gritty industrial district, and now at a professional, state of the art beach side recording studio he co-owns in Venice, California.
