The stage is set for an internal pilgrimage through deception, frustration, and absurdism to the relinquishment of self. Don't get lost in the corridors of your mind. Trust yourself, for what brought you here will certainly take you somewhere else...
Both long-standing friendships and impromptu collaborations mark the debut album by the four-piece Salina, Kansas-based Kings of Anything.
Their album Voyager is a journey of self-examination. Recorded in the group's hometown, the band chose a unique studio location — the Salina Masonic Temple and community center — which sits imposingly at the corner of South Street and Santa Fe Avenue. The lodge's ritualistic environment influenced the group's musical direction. Plus its vintage hand-painted stage backdrops and elaborate ritual costumes were utilized throughout production of the album.
