After Berlin, which was a commercial disaster in the beginning, Lou Reed needed a hit. And he got one, with Steve Katz from Blood, Sweat & Tears lending a hand to produce the album. Rock N' Roll Animal is a 1974 live recording. Lou Reed contributes a set of his famed anthemic songs, most dating from his days with the Velvet Underground. Selections include "White Light, White Heat" and "Lady Day."
