Sixth Studio Album Remastered on Black BioVinyl LP!
Featuring the Massive Hit Single "Beds Are Burning"!
First released in August 1987, Diesel and Dust is a concept album about the struggles of Indigenous Australians and environmental causes, issues important to the band. This was Midnight Oil's sixth album and drew inspiration from the Blackfella/Whitefella Tour of remote Indigenous communities with the Warumpi Band and Gondwanaland in 1986. In 1989, Rolling Stone magazine ranked it No. 13 on their list of the 100 best albums of the 1980s. In October 2010 it was listed at No. 1 in the book 100 Best Australian Albums.
Diesel and Dust, produced by Warne Livesey and the band, has been remastered and comes on black biovinyl in FSC certified packaging.
Diesel and Dust is that rarity, a bid for the larger audience that's also an artistic success and a triumph for leftist politics — even the Clash never managed that hat trick this well.
