This previously unreleased 1982 Audiophile 24-Track Recording was captured live at the Fort Lauderdale Club Bubba's by Criteria Recording Studios' Legendary Founder Mack Emerman. This recording is really important, and documents an underrepresented chapter of Monty's recording output. It's Monty with a great band, and the recording has fantastic fidelity. They are incredibly strong performances, with high energy that epitomize Monty at his very best.

Audio tapes from 2xHD guarantee that ultimate quality is preserved from the original master in contrast to vinyl albums, CDs or other formats. The transfer is made to the best magnetic tape on the market today, Recording the master, SM468. This tape has the best Print-through protection and longest storage life.

Based in Montreal and created by audiophile sound engineer René Laflamme and producer André Perry, all 2xHD Tapes are from the original analog master and transfer in analog domain using a Nagra-T tape recorder, modified with high-end tube playback electronics, wired from the playback head. In the high end audio world, René has carved out a reputation for definition of excellence and uses his knowledge and unfailing instinct to match various audio components to create the best all-encompassing sound experience.

**It is standard practice in all recording studios to keep the tape "tail out". This reduces "pre-echo" and it means that the tape should be placed on the right hand side of the recorder, re-wound and then played.

What differentiates this Monty Alexander tape from other recent live jazz concert releases? Recordings like Grant Green at Oil Can Harry's are of historical interest but in reality are very amateurish recordings. Some are not even put down at 15-ips either. Not here. Monty Alexander's Love You Madly: Live at Bubbas tape delivers the goods whether it be music or sound. And what sound that is! Big and bold. Dynamic and exciting. Swinging jazz with a Latin flair all in one package. And Alexander always has a surprise or two in store as he takes you through many twists and turns and into unexpected places! Oh, and the tape includes a wonderful booklet featuring interviews with Alexander, members of the band that day and other people involved in the recording.
