Remastered 1990 Album on 180g Vinyl! Cut from Original Source and Pressed at Optimal Media!

In the 1950s, Paul Motian met pianist Bill Evans in New York City after returning home from the Korean War. From the first moment, a special telepathy developed between the two artists. In 1990, ten years after Evans’ death, Motian extended his ensemble for a very personal homage with bassist Marc Johnson, who wrote jazz history in the last Bill Evans Trio. The magic of this recording unfolds best on analog 180-gram vinyl, cut from the original source and remastered.

"...an innovative set, using Evans' rich harmonic and rhythmic structures to launch many inspired solos...This is one of the best releases of the handful Motian has done with Lovano and Frisell, and certainly as fine a tribute record as there is. A good purchase for fans of both Bill Evans and Paul Motian." -Stephen Cook, allmusic.com
