Pete Townshend's first solo album of original material, Empty Glass was released in 1980. The album deals with issues such as alcoholism, drug abuse, marital problems and the loss of friends - namely Keith Moon, the drummer for The Who who died in 1978. The album features the hit song "Let My Love Open the Door" alongside the two other singles "Empty Glass" and "A Little Is Enough".
