Released in 1976 domestically on Electra Records, A Day At The Races is Queen's fifth recording. Produced by Queen, A Day At The Races was recorded in England between July and November of 1976. Known for their glam/art/rock, campy humor and majestic sound, Queen was a concert arena favorite throughout the 1970s. Two hit singles sprang from this recording: 'Tie Your Mother Down' and 'Somebody To Love'. A Day At The Races was the follow-up hit to A Night At The Opera.
