Rachael Yamagata Starlit Alchemy LP

Rachael Yamagata returns with Starlit Alchemy, her first studio album in nine years and the follow-up to 2016's Tightrope Walker. The lead single, "Birds," was written by Rachael and co-produced with longtime collaborator John Alagia (Paul Simon, Herbie Hancock, Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Lukas Nelson, Ben Folds, and more). "Birds" explores grief, love, memory, and spiritual connection in the aftermath of loss. Birds—often seen as messengers from the spirit world—are interpreted here as signs from the departed, offering comfort and presence through their quiet visitation.
