High Resolution Cutting! Includes Opus 3 Favorite Artists Eric Bibb, B.B. Driftwood, Sticks & Stones, Maria Winther & Many More!

During the last seven years since the release of Opus 3 Showcase in 2005 there have been changes in music genre which Opus 3 have recorded. These include BlueGrass, Americana and music inspired by the early days of pop and rock music.

Nine of the thirteen tracks are vocals unlike earlier recordings where instrumentals were predominant, and no classical music. Five new artists are featured. Maria Winther, B.B. Driftwood, East and Dan & The Electros, plus a taste of the future Tess (Therese Mercedes Myrhed).

The 2nd track from a forthcoming album is Tomas Örnberg's BLUE FIVE, featuring the inimitable Tomas himself already well known from the Opus 3 catalogue. (His album from 1982 was awarded the best jazz album in Sweden that year!)

Opus 3's outstanding artist Eric Bibb is featured with a track from his album Blues, Ballads & WorkSongs, an album which has received an incredible number of rave-reviews!

This album is to illustrate that regardless of slight changes in the material recorded one thing which remains constant is the highest possible quality of recording - something for which Opus 3 records has been renowned since its inception 36 years ago.

High Resolution Cutting
Normal production requires the creation of a 44.1kHz/16bit DDP master first. This technology helps to convert and cut HR master sound source (176.4kHz/24bit) to CD signal directly in Victor Creative Media Co., (VCM) plant. The CDs produced with the HR Cutting technology are compatible with all CD players. This process produces high resolution CDs with original high bit, HR master sound source by direct cutting technology.

SHM-XRCD24 (Super High Material XRCD24) is the ultimate XRCD24 that utilizes the materials and technologies that were developed for the SHM-CD to further enhance the audio-resolution. These discs are made with polycarbonate developed for the screen of the liquid crystal display. As it has a higher transparency, players can read the signal more faithfully. Also, it excels in fluidity, which enables you to cast a more accurate pit. What works wonders for a low resolution format such as CD should offer even greater sonic improvements in a real high resolution format such as XRCD24.

This extended resolution CD 24 (XRCD24) from JVC brings the listener higher fidelity and improved audio quality by enhancing the process of mastering and manufacturing compact discs. The xrcd24 is compatible with all CD players.
