1967 Tamla Records Album on Limited Edition Mono Vinyl LP!
Released by Motown's subsidiary Tamla Records in 1967, Smokey Robinson & the Miracles' album Make It Happen features ballads such as the hit singles "The Love I Saw in You Was Just a Mirage" and "More Love." "Tears of a Clown," co-written by Stevie Wonder and Hank Cosby, was issued as a single three years later and charted at #1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and UK Singles Chart. As a result, Make It Happen was reissued as The Tears of a Clown in 1970. The album received a ****1/2 AllMusic rating, with John Bush stating that this is "the most underrated Miracles LP of the '60s," but it "features a spate of great songs."
