Formed in 1992, Stereophonics consists of Kelly Jones, Richard Jones, and Stuart Cable for their debut album.

Six of the nine studio albums released by the group have become number one albums in the UK.

The Welsh rock group has a sound similar to that of alternative rock meshed with traditional British rock.

Sterephonics' debut album, Word Gets Around, was released in 1997 and hit number six in the UK. That album features the singles "Local Boy In the Photograph", "More Life In A Tramps Vest", and "A Thousand Trees".
