Japanese Import Hybrid SACD!
Sourced from the Original 1984 Master Tape!
The first hybrid SACD of Atonement using the original 1984 master tape, strictly preserved and managed in Japan. The sound source production for the SACD and CD masters was handled by Shigeru Takezawa, renowned engineer at Nippon Columbia's Minami-Azabu studio.
The SACD/CD is a hybrid disc with a two-layer structure, but when producing the CD sound source, Stereo Sound did not perform any down conversion from the SACD sound source. The CD layer is considered a medium with a different basic characteristic from the SACD layer, and is mastered separately.
The SACD sound source is a 2.8 MHz 1-bit sound source that is directly converted to DSD from analog master tapes that have been mastered in the analog domain. On the other hand, the CD sound source uses a 96kHz/24bit sound source that has been converted to PCM from the analog domain and mastered for CD.
The agile and open-minded energy unique to analog sound sources and the delicacy of the soft texture are carefully cut, and it clearly depicts the growth of Teresa since the Polydor era.
This is Japan's first Atonement SACD/CD hybrid board that fully satisfies the expectations of Teresa fans.
