The Dead Can Dance have been an audiophile favorite for many years, highly coveted and sought after on vinyl. Now available for the first time on a Digital High-Resolution format, Super Audio CD!

Legendary UK-based alternative label 4AD presents this Deluxe Special Edition collection of eight classic Dead Can Dance albums and one outstanding EP. Presented in hybrid-stereo SACD format and packaged in an exquisite black & white collector's box, these selections represent the absolute finest in a lengthy career spanning more than a decade of eclectic musical output.

Formed in 1981 by contralto Lisa Gerrard and baritone Brendan Perry, Dead Can Dance are globally renowned for their stylistically diverse and groundbreaking music. They have continually refined this uncanny musical style beginning with their 1984 self-titled debut album and continuing all the way through to 1996's Spirit Chaser. Fusing atmospheric/ambient pop, spiritual undertones, alt-eletronica, world beats, and European folk, their repertoire can never be easily summed up with words. Instead, it is presented here, nearly in its entirety, remastered to exacting standards by Mobile Fidelity Sound Laboratory, one of the most respected audiophile labels in the USA.

As an homage to the original UK vinyl releases, each disc is packaged in a Japanese paper inner sleeve and contained within a replica hard-cover album jacket, complete with all original artwork, lyrics, and additional new images. Each jacket is protected by a resealable, side-opening plastic outer sleeve. The entire collection is housed inside a slide-top, black velvet box with an embossed DCD logo. This velvet box is protected by a deluxe black & white outer box, complete with Dead Can Dance, 4AD, and SACD logos, as well as a listing of the albums and EP contained within.

This collection represents the essential works by one of music's most prolific bands in the last half of a century. With only 1,500 available worldwide, it will quickly become a collector's item!
