180g Audiophile Vinyl Mastered by Friday Music's Joe Reagoso With Ron McMaster From Original Warner Bros. Tapes!
Known for their ability of churning out hit songs, top charting albums and sell-out shows across the globe, The Doobie Brothers continue to be a force in the music business garnering them success now for over four decades. They were also in the forefront of making excellent sounding recordings, utilizing their masterful skills in the studios, and which resulted in an amazing catalog of albums which have stood the test of time.
1972 was a banner year for the band as they added a couple of new members and took their acoustic Bay Area soul and rock sounds to a further dimension thanks to the hits on their second LP Toulouse Street. Produced by Ted Templeman, this multi-platinum event would go on to become one of the most successful albums by anyone that year as the LP spawned a number of top chart singles like Listen To The Music, Jesus Is Just Alright and Rockin Down The Highway.
Fronted by dual lead vocalists and guitar mavens Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons, Tiran Porter on bass, and the dual drummers John Hartman and the late great Michael Hossack, The Doobie Brothers never looked back as this album went even deeper on album radio with more amazing hits like Sonny Boy Williamsons blues classic Dont Start Me To Talkin and Patrick Simmons masterpiece title track Toulouse Street. Even superstar friends like Billy Payne from Little Feat and Doobie Brother alumni like Dave Shogren add their musical expertise to this rock and roll classic.
Friday Music is proud once again to offer another installment in the ever popular Doobie Brothers 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl Series with their masterpiece Toulouse Street. Impeccably mastered by Joe Reagoso (Doobie Brothers/Michael McDonald/Boz Scaggs) from the original Warner Bros. tapes at Friday Music Studios and at Capitol Mastering with Ron McMaster, Toulouse Street sounds incredibly rockin and soulful as you remember it.
