Featuring 25 Hits & Fan Favorites Spanning Their Entire Career!
The Monkees are an American rock band that released music in their original incarnation between 1965 and 1971, with subsequent reunion albums and tours in the decades that followed. They were formed in Los Angeles in 1965 by Bob Rafelson and Bert Schneider for the American television series The Monkees, which aired from 1966 to 1968.
As the only two surviving band members from the quartet, Mike Nesmith and Micky Dolenz embark on a tour in the year 2020 billed as "A Night of Magic Music & Memories". The double LP from that show features performances of their #1 singles including "Last Train To Clarksville", "I'm A Believer" and "Daydream Believer". The album also includes some of Nesmith's compositions including songs like "St. Matthew" and "Auntie's Municipal Court", which were not performed live during the group's heyday. Dolenz sings hits like "Pleasant Valley Sunday", "Randy Scouse Git", and "Mary, Mary".
