The Velvet Underground is yet another perfect example of a band who failed commercially at the time yet their legacy managed to survive intact and has been subsequently re-appraised by a younger generation of record buyers who actually LIKE em! See! Andy Warhol was RIGHT! Loaded was the fourth Velvet Underground album and their first (and last) album for Atlantic Records. This album, unlike the previous three, highlighted the band in a much more pop-orientated direction and paved the way for Lou Reeds subsequent success. Contains a veritable brace of classics including Who Loves The Sun, Rock And Roll and Sweet Jane. Hopefully well get the other three albums out soon!
Selections: Who Loves the Sun, Sweet Jane, Rock & Roll, Cool It Down, New Age, Head Held High, Lonesome Cowboy Bill, I Found A Reason, Train Round the Bend, Oh! Sweet Nuthin.
