10th Anniversary Limited Edition 45rpm Bone Colored Vinyl LP!
The Weather Station's 2nd LP from 2011, now available from Fat Possum Records. 10th anniversary edition with limited Bone color vinyl and new, updated liner notes written by Tamara Lindeman. Incisive and insightful folk music by Tamara Lindeman. A beautifully sung depiction of the growing things, and the crawling things, and the loving and hurting things that move around, bewildered and dazzled.
This album was recorded stereophonically. The vocals were reproduced through a Royer 122 microphone; rhythm, Royer 121; violin, Apex 210; and guitars, Royer 121, Sennheiser 421. The session was recorded in December 2010.
The live feeling of All of It Was Mine's recording spotlights the nuances of Lindeman's playing and especially her singing. Her voice takes on a cozy glow on 'Running Around Asking' and a silvery, Joni Mitchell-like cast on 'Traveller.' However, anytime Lindeman seems too indebted to tradition, she turns it on its head.
