O Magnum Mysterium features the Westminster Choir conducted by Joseph Flummerfelt. The album was originally released by Chesky Records.

From the LP jacket:
There are recordings, like this Chesky's 'O Magnum Mysterium', that acquire more and more value after every listening, highlighting their amazing consistency and realism. Even after many yars, the sound is amazingly rich and dynamic without excess, it is a measured and accurate recreation of the Wetminster Choir and the rooms of St. Mary's Cathedral, yet never extreme. Bob Katz was able to capture masterfully the performance directed by Flummerfelt, which would have probably obtained a worldwide success itself. It is quite difficult to allocate merits individually in such a succesful technical work, yet other reviews in the past highlighted how important was the minimalist approach chosen by Chesky, both in recording and in studio production. A set of lucky concurrences made 'O Magnum Mysterium' an inspired mix of original contents and brilliant sounds, even more enjoyable today thanks to an excellent analogue master, transferred on vinyl by AudioNautes Recordings with its usual attention to details. We strongly believe this reissue will surprise you, both when compared with the original Chesky's LP and with the widespread digital edition... Enjoy! - Fabio Camorani

"Working in conjunction with David Chesky ( Chesky Records ) We were handed the original 2-track analog masters and I have kept the entire audio path analog. What you hear on this vinyl is exactly what the producer intended. In this case, the result is very detailed and pure. Moving and emotional only partially describe my reaction when hearing these tapes. The choir's performance and the richness of the recording are outstanding." - Scott Hull, mastering engineer, Masterdisk

With this recording the word 'transparent' takes on new meaning. Your system will disappear leaving a choir hovering three-dimensionally in space. Seriously.
