This 1973 Island release was Traffic's eighth album and another in their string of great records to turn gold. Produced by Steve Winwood and Jim Capaldi, Shoot Out was recorded at Strawberry Hill Studios in Jamaica. Muscle Shoals studio musicians roger Hawkins, David Hood and Barry Beckett are included on this release, as is African percussionist Reebop Kwaku Baah.
