Twink is known largely from his time with The Pretty Things, Pink Fairies and his iconic underground 1970 debut, Think Pink. Produced by Mick Farren and featuring members of The Pretty Things, The Deviants, plus Steve Peregrin Took of Tyrannosaurus Rex, Think Pink is a thing of legend. Thankfully, Twink's made a career's worth of music as wondrous and psychedelic as that rose reckoning.
It's rare that an icon can remain relevant for decades and have a sound and vision equally as eccentric as his earliest works. Serving as an introduction to the marvelous career of Twink (now Mohammed Abdullah), You Reached for the Stars spans just shy of 50 years. These felicitous compositions play cohesively as one album.
