Waterloo, the second album for the group, was their first album to be credited to the then-newly coined group name "ABBA". The title track was the first single from the album. The group won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest for the song previous to the album being produced. It became ABBA's first #1 hit in several countries. The single introduced the world to the phenomenon that was to become ABBA.
In March of 2010, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted ABBA - Agnetha Faltskog, Benny Andersson, Bjorn Ulvaeus and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. Conquering the world as the most commercially successful pop group of the 70s (more than 100 million records sold worldwide just in that decade).
ABBAs popularity continues to grow with the phenomenal success of the stage and film versions of Mamma Mia! In fact, the soundtrack to the film hit #1 Pop in 2008. It has been estimated that ABBA has sold more than 370 million records worldwide to as of March 2010.
