5th Anniversary Limited Edition Red Marble Vinyl LP!
2017 Album Oozes Gritty California Noir!

"I suppose you could say that Bobby Fuller Died for Your Sins was my California noir LP. The song 'Bad Year for Rock and Roll' is for anyone who's ever had a bad year and battles late night bouts of loss of faith. There's more than enough longing, loss and empty feelings to go around these days. But, the music has always been there for me. And hopefully we can all find belief in a better tomorrow where a spark of romance rekindles the ties that bind." - Chuck Prophet

Inspired partly by the mysterious death of rocker Bobby Fuller in LA in 1966, Bobby Fuller Died for Your Sins is gritty and jangly and explores themes of doomed love, loneliness and fast-paced violence via Chuck's muscular songwriting craft. Chuck is backed by The Mission Express, a band featuring Stephanie Finch (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Kevin White (bass), Vicente Rodriguez (drums, vocals) and James DePrato (guitar).

The 5th Anniversary Limited Edition of Bobby Fuller Died for Your Sins is pressed on red marble vinyl with the original LP track list and includes the hits "Bad Year for Rock and Roll", "Your Skin", and "Jesus Was A Social Drinker".

'I hear the record crackle, the needle skips and jumps,' he half-sings as pedal steel guitar careens Byrds-like overhead. That leads to Prophet's central confession, and the record's animating theme: 'I never saw a movie that moved me half as much.' With that, we're off, riding shotgun down some mythic highway with a rock true believer.
-Tom Moon, NPR
It's hard to choose a favorite Prophet disc, but for either the uninitiated or the already on-board fan, Bobby Fuller Died for Your Sins is yet another example of not just his love of rock and roll, but an ability to create it with the spirit and intensity of the best of those that influenced him.
-Hal Horowitz, American Songwriter
Chuck Prophet is the kind of rock star we need more of: not so much unpretentious as a master of his pretentions; a sonic chameleon; curious, amused, angry, seductive, and sincere; a novelist in a Nudie suit.
-Ed Whitelock, PopMatters
