Days of the New is the American rock band from Charlestown, Indiana, formed in 1995. The band consists of vocalist/guitarist Travis Meeks and a variety of supporting musicians. The 1997 debut studio album was the first of their three self-titled albums and was produced by Scott Litt, who is best known for producing six R.E.M albums amongst many others. The album was a commercial success, selling 1.5 million copies worldwide and making it a US certified Platinum album. It spawned three singles, ''Touch, Peel and Stand," ''The Down Town'' and ''Shelf in the Room." The former single reached #1 on Billboard's Hot Mainstream Rock Chart where it stayed for 17 weeks and maintained considerable radio play to this day.
The 2LP Days of the New is available on vinyl for the first time and includes an insert with lyrics.
