180g Vinyl LP Pressed at Optimal!
Half-Speed Mastered at Abbey Road Studios!

Deep Purple In Rock is the group's 4th studio album but the first album recorded by the classic Mark II line-up with Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Gillian, Jon Lord, Ian Paice, and Roger Glover. This release contains the original 1970 UK track listing featuring the full length version of "Speed King."

1970's Deep Purple in Rock heralded the beginning of the group's most creatively and commercially successful period.

An English rock band formed in 1968, they are considered to be among the pioneers of heavy metal and modern hard rock, although their musical approach has changed over the years. Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, and Black Sabbath together have been referred to as the "unholy trinity of British hard rock and heavy metal in the early to mid-Seventies.”
