Historic Pre-Allman Brothers Band 1968 Recording On Vinyl LP!
First Time On Vinyl In 50 Years!
Duane & Gregg Allman is actually an album-length demo for the group "The 31st Of February" featuring drummer Butch Trucks, bassist David Brown, and guitarist Scott Boyer as well as Duane and Gregg Allman. The 1965 formed group released their self-titled debut in 1968. The album featuring Duane & Gregg Allman was intended to be their second album featuring Gregg Allman on vocals. The album contains the first recording of "Melissa" which was later re-recorded by The Allman Brothers Band.
"Morning Dew" was released as a single in 1972 but neither the single nor the album charted. The album was later re-titled Duane and Gregg Allman and released digitally and on streaming services.
