Even though it never formally appeared on the record, the non-album song is included here as a bonus track and attains newfound depth, energy, and swagger. Coupled with the other dozen tracks - including the sultry "Power Of My Love", balladic take of Dallas Frazier's "True Love Travels On A Gravel Road" and driving cover of Hank Snow's "I'm Moving On" - it makes for the finest Elvis listening experience available.

Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab's UltraDisc One-Step (UD1S) technique bypasses generational losses inherent to the traditional three-step plating process by removing two steps: the production of father and mother plates, which are created to yield numerous stampers from each lacquer that is cut. For UD1S plating, stampers (also called "converts") are made directly from the lacquers. Since each lacquer yields only one stamper, multiple lacquers need to be cut. Mobile Fidelity's UD1S process produces a final LP with the lowest-possible noise floor. The removal of two steps of the plating process also reveals musical details and dynamics that would otherwise be lost due to the standard multi-step process. As Elvis worked his magic, a spell quickly came over the room, and strangers started coming up and asking me two questions: What Elvis album was that, and where could they buy it? It didn't hurt that the recording captured a sumptuous and open sound with strings and background singers at the same time that a rhythm section came through with remarkable clarity. And it didn't hurt that a mature Elvis, who had more creative control over this project than usual, was addressing material worthy of The King, with memorable compositions by such esteemed songwriters as Dallas Frazier, Hank Snow, Burt Bacharach, and the team of Butler, Gamble, & Huff. With its in-the-room presence, the voice of Elvis Presley is dripping with Southern sweetness, and there's also no shortage of classic Elvis swagger—that is, when he isn't tearing our hearts out with tales of insecurity and suffering. No wonder the people in the room were stunned—so was I.
