The legendary blues/rock guitarist Eric Clapton releases his 23rd album "I Still Do" on 45rpm 2LP. Once again, Clapton works with producer Glyn Johns, who has previously manned the boards for Clapton's 1977 Slowhand album.
"Everyones on fire and it doesnt take more than a few bars before you realize youre hearing a rich, organic, transparent artifact-free sound thats rarely heard on modern recordings (probably because this all analogue recording and mix is not a modern recording!) ...Ive played this one repeatedly since it arrived yesterday and as a demonstration of indelibly pure, gimmick-free music making from all involved and record production excellence, it goes right to the top of any list. The double 45rpm 180g MPO pressing (at least my sealed copy) was quiet, flat and flawless. Dont miss this one!" - Michael Fremer, www.analogplanet.com
The 12-song record, which follows the 2014 chart-topping Eric Clapton & Friends: The Breeze, An Appreciation of JJ Cale, includes some originals written by Clapton. The album is mastered for 45rpm for maximum fidelity.
The album is mixed by Glyn Johns, mastered by Bob Ludwig, and cut for vinyl by Bernie Grundman from analog tape.
