Mahāśmaśāna (महाश्मशान)— great cremation ground, all things going thither

For over a decade I have avoided Father John Misty—the moniker of singer-songwriter Josh Tillman—for a myriad of reasons. His latest album Mahashmashana, however, has nearly made me a true believer. A musically elevated lyrical odyssey through disillusionment and personal and social upheaval, this is absolutely a career-defining work. I seems Misty finally got me, and I can't help but listen to the lyrics of 'I Guess Time Makes Fools of Us All' with a smile.
