Few albums, especially of this epic proportion, rival this magnificent production first released in 1974, now on New Quiex SV-p 200g vinyl. In an era of over indulgent double LP efforts and "rock operas", "Lamb" was inspired by a trip to New York City by the band, resulting in the writing and production of what is considered not only the high point of the "Gabriel era" of Genesis, but also in one of the greatest rock albums, ever. Featuring extended passages showcasing the multi-instrumental talents of the band plus the prolific and expressive if sometimes weird and disturbing lyrics by Gabriel, it tells the saga of a NYC graffiti artist named Rael and his ultimate transformation. The album would be Gabriel's swan=song as a member and help launch a still on-going solo career. Features the original 2-LP artwork!
