Jethro Tulls second album, Stand Up, marked an early turning point for the band with the addition of guitarist Martin Barre along with Ian Andersons introduction of folk-rock influences to the groups blues-based sound. Released in the summer of 1969, Stand Up rose quickly to the top of the U.K. Albums Chart, and eventually earned gold certification in the U.S.

Virtually the same copy from original

I received this reissue and was very impressed with the excellent finish of the gatefold cover, including the original gimmick inside. About the recording, I compared it with my second English edition from 1970, and it seemed virtually the same. For me it was a positive point. Regarding the sound quality, I realized that it has a vigorous dynamic range, a lot of tonal balance between the frequencies, with an excellent sound stage formation. In addition to this, the quality of the vinyl pressing is first rate. I recommend anyone who doesn't have this album yet, to purchase this edition.
