Vinyl LP!
Following the break-up of The Runaways, Kenny Laguna and Ritchie Cordell co-wrote and co-produced this album of early music recorded in 1979 by Joan Jett.
"1979 was a transitional year for Joan Jett. The Runaways, the seminal punk rockers and quintessential all girl band that Jett had formed in 1975, had performed their final concert on December 31, 1978. In early 1979, due to musical differences between the band members, The Runaways broke up. In the spring of '79, Toby Mamis, The Runaways' manager at the time, contacted Kenny Laguna, a veteran of many bubble gum hits of the '60s, to write and produce some songs with Jett. Laguna brought in Ritchie Cordell, also a '60s bubble gum veteran, to cowrite and coproduce. In August, Laguna and Cordell flew out to Los Angeles to meet with Jett, and within a few days had formed the basis for the songs contained on the record. Raw and spontaneous, these tracks are a document of the first sessions of Joan Jett and Kenny Laguna's prolific partnership." - Danny Solazzi, liner notes
