180g Vinyl LP!
Kyung-Wha Chung, an artist of passionate intensity and probing intellect who communicates a vivid sense of spontaneity in her playing, is one of the great violinists of the last 50 years.
In an interview with The Strad magazine in 1989 Chung said, "As Szigeti taught, there are colors everywhere in music, and every piece has its own atmosphere. After all everything is related to nature, all the composers worked with nature and nature is filled with every kind of color. Each player has his own way of gauging the intensities, but every sensitive musician will somehow translate these colors into sounds."
Fresh and spontaneously joyful, this is a delightful version of what is probably the most over-duplicated work in the catalogue. Throughout the performances one welcomes the fiery magnetism of Chung.
